Accounting Specialist

Staffmark

This is a Full-time position in Jonesboro, AR posted March 20, 2021.

This job requires someone that has an ability to pay strict attention to detail and a talent and skill for accounting. This job requires the need to know excel extensively not just using an already generated spreadsheets and formulas, but also to have the ability to create one as well. This job requires also some skills in payroll dealing with keeping time sheets, paying payroll taxes, and doing the monthly and quarterly reports and journal entries. Also, knowing how to do accounts payable duties such as paying monthly commissions and other bills as needed. Also, this person will need to know/learn how to do a yearly budget and be able to prepare monthly financial reports and to prepare journal entries to these reports. Also, this job also requires bank statement to be reconciled. The person will be working with 3 other individuals in the department and the department manager. The office setting is office casual. Since the pandemic, our office has basically been staffed with few people. We try to make sure that there are at least 2 people in the accounting department in the office every day. The education level for this job could be with a bachelors or associates degree or to have enough years of experience. This can range anywhere from 2 to 7 years of experience. We are also looking for people with no experience if they have a degree and they show the ability to learn.  Must be able to communicate in written & verbal English.
