Information Systems Security Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Charleston, AR posted March 12, 2021.

SeK ON is looking for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with experience designing and architecting security layouts from the ground up to implement and integrate system security measures.

This position will be on our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

Due to COVID-19, this role will be 100% remote for the foreseeable future.

The mission lifecycle of DHA is to deploy the largest global electronic health record system across the entire Department of Defense (DoD) community.

We’re looking for a strong candidate to support the deployment of this critical system to our military community.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Validate system security requirement definitions and establish system security designs.

Direct cybersecurity interface with government ISSM’s.

Determine security requirements for legacy systems and mobile applications that support the DoD Theater OpMed (Operational Medicine) environment at Roles of Care 1-3 (to include Point of Injury).

Design and architect security layouts to implement and integrate system security measures.

Perform and review technical security assessments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards, regulations, and recommended mitigation.

Design, develop, and implement IA security systems and components for networking, computing, and enclave environments with differing data protection classifications.

Assist architects and developers with identification and implementation of information security functionality, to ensure uniform application of security policies and enterprise solutions.

Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.

Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities, for system and networking operations.

Build IA into systems and mobile applications deployed to operational medicine environments.

Reviews C documentation and provide feedback on completeness and compliance.

Identify and authenticate access controls and security audits.

Develop mitigation strategies.

Monitor and implement network protection capabilities like Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, and HBSS.

Support the DoD RMF Assessment and Authorization process, to include documenting that process using eMASS or another similar automated system.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE), or related field.

Active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance (required) CompTIA Security+ certification (required) Must have one or more of the following DoD approved (IAT Level II or III) 8570 baseline certifications (CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA, CASP+, CCNP, CISA) Knowledge of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Knowledge of VPC computing environments (e.g., milCloud 2.0).

Knowledge of cyber policies and requirements for mobile applications.

Knowledge of DIACAP and DITSCAP processes.

Experience with database protection techniques, to include penetration testing and software code checking techniques used in the SCQC function.

Identify vulnerabilities exposed by the IAVA process, CVPAs, and penetration testing.

DESIRED SKILLS: DevSecOps experience Agile/Scrum experience IBM JAZZ experience JIRA experience Mobile Application Development (iOS, Android, Windows) CCIE in Cloud, Routing and Switching, or Security.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Experience in Enterprise level Cloud Based Development and deployment like PAAS, IAAS, SAAS, Cloud Ready design patterns.

Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Machine Learning (ML).

DESIRED DOD EXPERIENCE: TMIP-J legacy systems Operational Healthcare Functions (Patient Movement, Health Care Delivery to include Dental, MedSA, Med C2, MedLOG to include Theater Blood) Roles of Care in Theater, Continuity of Care, etc.

Experience deploying systems in a DoD healthcare environment.

Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Program/system(s) adherence with DoDI and DoDD Clinical vocabularies, and Health Information Exchange (HIE) DoD STIG requirements Apply for This Job
