The Director of Marketing develops and implements strategies to increase volume to the Heart Hospital and assure customer satisfaction. Focuses on strategies that include maximizing customer satisfaction, developing and enhancing relationships, developing appropriate marketing strategies and marketing elements, program development, including internal and external programs.

Customers of focus include medical staff members, other physicians, allied health professionals, business leaders, and other hospitals.

Primary Duties
Develops, improves and markets hospital services offered to increase the hospital’s cardiovascular market share.

Develops and implements marketing plans.

Monitors and measures results of marketing efforts to determine effectiveness, program improvement and/or development as needed.

Develops new markets, targeting areas with high commercial payer mix, by performing market research, planning, implementation and measurement of results.

Compiles and communicates all patient satisfaction data with administration, department directors and staff.

Works with departments to improve patient satisfaction.

Works cooperatively with Community Relations/Public Relations to promote hospital services and physicians in community via community and media efforts.

Performs annual performance evaluations of subordinates timely.

Supervises, directs and plans the operation of the Marketing Department.

Operates the department within budget.

Responds to issues of harassment and discrimination per company policy.

Completes employee evaluation(s) in a timely manner per company policy.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor degree in field of marketing, management, nursing or health care administration required.

Experience: Minimum of five years cardiovascular-related experience required, preferably in a marketing role.

Prior management/supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure/certification: Valid Driver’s License required.
