The Vice President of Operations Airport Services is responsible for the operational and financial performance, and achievement of budgeted unit growth.

He/she will also be accountable for directing, developing, implementing, and administering operational strategies and tactics, ensuring the achievement of the segment’s goals and objectives.

This position reports to the President of JBT Airport Services and is a member of the JBT Aerotech North America leadership team.

The VP is also responsible for the management of maintenance operations and personnel in coordination with the Regional Directors to assure sites are managed to optimize personnel safety, customer satisfaction, profitability, incremental growth, and technical training.

Constantly strive to improve the efficiency and profitability of the operations.

Oversee all IT related activities to support both current operational needs and future technical development.

Work closely with the Director of Sales in identifying and optimizing sales opportunities.

Assist in defining and pricing new sales opportunities.

Provide management oversight for implementation of new business opportunities.

Assist the President in defining business strategies and objectives.

Develop relationships with senior customer contacts.

Manages 7-10 direct reports who supervise approximately 1000 employees across Airport Services division.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all operations.

Scope of Responsibility :
Develop, deploy, communicate and execute the segment’s strategic growth plan and go-to-market strategy that is aligned to the broader JBT strategy.

Work closely with the BU leadership team to gain an in-depth knowledge of the business’ end-users, channels, Drives results and ensures accountability, profitable performance & execution of all operational activities.

Oversee all operational and personnel functions to ensure compliance with JBT performance requirements, contractual agreements, JBT policies and procedures, OSHA, Labor Standards, and any other requirements necessary within the operational scope.

Ensure consistency and accuracy in execution and tracking of services and the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Lead and direct the BU Operations with emphasis on process safety, reliability, efficiency and operational discipline.

Work with the HSE Director to develop business unit wide safety standards for all departments and team members to follow.

To run a safe, injury / accident-free workplace.

Communicate with legal counsel and Safety Director to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.

Work with Regional Directors to establish performance measurements for the operational sites to meet or exceed business objectives.

Visit all sites on a regular basis to inspect safety, operational performance, assure personnel are technically trained and safety programs are being carried out.

Meet with customers to review performance and seek opportunities for incremental growth.

Oversee the training requirements and programs for all site operations.

Coordinate the development of programs, formats, certification requirements and methods of execution.

Identify operational concerns and coordinate efforts to resolve open issues.

Develop and implement corrective actions.

Responsible for overall budgeting process for service operations and day to day work performance to assure quality/safety and customer satisfaction.

Oversee all aspects of the business requirements.

Manage priorities, budgets, and expectations for both current operations and future technical opportunities.

Work closely with sales and marketing in the development of technical sales opportunities.

Review regulatory/license requirements in each location.

Identify and direct efforts to assure that all licenses and requirements are in compliance for each site.

Assist the President – Airport Services with the development of business strategies and objectives.

Expand sales opportunities in concert with the Director of Sales, develop sales strategies to expand the business and customer relationships.

Visit directly with potential customers at key airports to seek growth opportunities.

Assist Technical Services Manager in defining and pricing new projects and provide management oversight for new site implementations.

Develop and track personnel objectives and coordinate the career growth process by recommending training and development opportunities.
